The County of Huron Thanks Snowplow Operators For Their Hard Work and Dedication This Winter
by Bob Montgomery
The County of Huron extends its sincere appreciation to all Huron County snowplow operators who are working extra hard this winter to keep Huron’s roads clear and safe.
"It’s been a particularly snowy winter, and our snowplow operators are working long hours in tough conditions to keep our roads safe," said Imran Khalid, Director of Public Works. "We ask all drivers to be patient and cautious around snowplows so our team can do their jobs efficiently and safely."
When approaching winter maintenance vehicles, such as plows and salt trucks, please remember the following safety tips:
Stay Back. Leave enough space between your vehicle and the snowplow to allow for safe operation.
Slow Down. Snowplows travel at a reduced speed to clear roads effectively. Adjust your speed accordingly and maintain a safe following distance.
Be Patient. Passing or crowding a snowplow is highly dangerous and should be avoided. Allow plows the space they need to do their job safely and efficiently.
The County of Huron thanks all snowplow operators for their dedication and encourages residents to show their appreciation by driving safely this winter.
