Twenty-six Students From Clinton Public School Planted Christmas Trees On The Main Street Yesterday

by Bob Montgomery

Twenty-six grade six and seven students from Mr. Fairweather's class at Clinton Public School helped bring a little Christmas spirit to the main street in Clinton yesterday.

Central Huron Community Improvement Coordinator and organizer of this event, Angela Smith, says their goal is to make people smile a bit as they drive or walk through the downtown area. “We installed twelve trees along the sidewalk and two in Spooner's Lane, beside the town hall and we hope people will be encouraged to take a walk on the main street, enjoy the trees and have their pictures taken in the light tunnel in Spooner's Lane.”
