The Bayfield Beer, Wine and Food Festival Celebrates Nine Years This Saturday

by Bob Montgomery

Bayfield Ward councillor Bill Whetstone is the co-chair of the event. He says the festival will have a wide range of beer, wine and food and music. They try to get as much of that from local producers as possible, but they do have to bring a few things, like beer, in from outside of the county.

The festival runs from three in the afternoon until nine in the evening this Saturday at the Bayfield Community Centre. Two bands will provide the music and Whetstone says they're trying to sell as many tickets as they can. Proceeds from this year's event will go towards the start-up costs of the Before and After School program that the people who look after the facility are starting up this year.
