Joe Kerr Limited Commits $100,000 To Wingham Hospital CT Scanner

by Bob Montgomery

Joe Kerr Limited has pledged $100,000 to the Caring Together campaign to help bring a new CT scanner to the Wingham and District Hospital.

This donation carries on the long tradition of the Kerr family supporting local healthcare in Wingham. In addition to the generous financial contribution, owner Andrew Kerr has also volunteered his time to work on the Caring Together campaign as a Team Leader. “Supporting the hospital has always been important to us because it is important to all our employees and their families who make this community a great place to run a business,” says Kerr. “A new CT scanner is a great next step to advance care in Wingham.”

Wingham District Hospital Foundation Executive Director Nicole Duquette-Jutzi accepted the donation saying, “It’s always a pleasure to work with the Kerrs. They are dedicated, community-minded business owners who are always eager to help.”

Bringing a brand new CT scanner to the Wingham & District Hospital will enhance emergency care, reduce travel for patients and make diagnoses faster and safer. Anyone who would like to learn more or support the Caring Together campaign is encouraged to visit www.wdhfoundation.ca .
