United Way Three-Year Impact Funding Application Process Now Open
by Bob Montgomery
United Way Perth-Huron has announced the opening of their impact funding process, with expressions of interest accepted until March 12th at midnight.
This funding cycle is for three years running from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2029. Director of Social Research & Planning Council Kristin Crane, says their committee, as well as staff, will then review all of the expressions of interest and then everybody who is eligible will be invited to submit an application and that process begins mid-April.
“A focus for us continues to be addressing local needs by funding partners that deliver important programs and services responding to poverty mitigation and prioritizing equity-denied groups,” said Leah Kennedy, United Way Perth-Huron Manager of Community Impact. “We look forward to receiving Expressions of Interest from organizations and groups who work to improve lives and build belonging in Perth and/or Huron.”
Impact funding is intended to provide financial stability for ongoing projects and/or programs that are part of an organization’s over-arching structure and mission. United Way welcomes everyone in our community to submit program funding requests. For a full listing of eligibility requirements, applicants are asked to refer to UWPH 2026 – 2029 Impact Funding Resource Guide, available at perthhuron.unitedway.ca.
If an organization or group has never applied for UWPH funding before, please contact Leah Kennedy at lkennedy@perthhuron.unitedway.ca prior to starting the Expression of Interest. Appointments will be booked until March 7.
