Seaforth Agricultural Society Representative To Ambassador Of The Fairs Competition Says All Of The Contestants Are Winners

by Bob Montgomery

Emma Robinson is representing the Seaforth Agricultural Society at this year's Ambassador Of The Fairs Competition at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.

Emma is twenty years old and is entering her third year in a Bachelor of Science and Agriculture course, majoring in Honours Agriculture, at the University of Guelph. Last year, she ran for Queen of the Furrow before she ran for Seaforth Ambassador. She says those experiences and this year's Ambassador of the Fairs Competition will be invaluable in providing her with public speaking skills that will help her in her future career as well as just life in general.

Emma says the Ambassador's Competition actually started with their local fall fair in September and that was a great way for her to get to know her community. Getting to know her community is her favourite part because those connections will last a lifetime. Winning is not the biggest part of the Ambassador competition. For her the highlight is getting to know the other contestants and the friendships that will come out of that and in her opinion all of the contestants are winners.
