Royal Homes Donates $150,000 to CT Scanner at Wingham & District Hospital

The Wingham & District Hospital Foundation has received another significant donation to its Caring Together campaign.

Foundation Executive Director Nicole Duquette says they were delighted to receive a donation of 150-thousand dollars for their campaign to bring a new CT Scanner to the Wingham & District Hospital from Royal Homes.

Owners Doug Kuyvenhoven, Klaas Jorritsma and Pieter Venema feel strongly that local businesses and individuals have a vital role to play in securing the future of local healthcare. It is their hope that Royal Homes’ 150-thousand dollar donation will set an example for others to commit their donations to the Caring Together campaign. Campaign Chair Mark Foxton accepted the donation and said, “Royal Homes is a wonderful community-focused business and we are fortunate they are joining us in building a community that cares for one another”.

The Caring Together campaign is a 2.5 million dollar capital fundraising campaign to bring a brand-new CT Scanner to the digital imaging department of the Wingham & District Hospital. The campaign has reached over 50 percent of that goal. Everyone in the community is invited to be part of helping make urgently needed CT scans available close to home.

Anyone looking for more information about the campaign or wishing to make a donation can go to the Wingham & District Hospital Foundation website.
