by Bob Montgomery

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance proudly celebrated the completion of Phase 1 of St. Marys Memorial Hospital’s patient room renovation project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday.

The event marked a significant milestone in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to update its facilities with many staff members, St. Marys Healthcare Foundation, and Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance board members in attendance. Amanda McCurdy, Chair of the St. Marys Healthcare Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the community’s support. “Their contributions have made this renovation project possible and it’s inspiring to see what we can achieve together to improve healthcare for everyone in our local area.”

HPHA President and CEO Andrew Williams praised the board’s dedication to improving the hospital’s facilities: “This commitment ensures that both our staff and the community have access to the best possible environment for care and recovery.”

Patients are set to move into the newly renovated East Wing this Wednesday. The renovations feature state-of-the-art upgrades designed to support both high quality, safe patient care and comfort and an environment that supports the health and well being of staff. Following the successful completion of Phase 1, construction of the West Wing will commence shortly after the transition.
