Ontario 511 Provides Road Conditions For Travellers

For anyone considering traveling over the next few days, the Ontario government has a website that provides up to date road conditions.

Current weather reports are hinting at the possibility of winter conditions in some areas the week. Huron County Climate Change and Energy Specialist, Derry Wallis, says the province's 511 website is pretty accurate and up to date in providing road conditions throughout the province.

The Ontario 511 website has up to date road conditions and the roads have different colours depending on whether they're clear, or partly covered with snow or if visibility is an issue. She says they also have cameras along different provincial highways so anyone considering using one of those roads can see exactly what the current conditions are.

Wallis says she's found the website to be very helpful and a lot of friends use it too.
