by Bob Montgomery

The National Barrel Horse Association will be at the Reach Centre as part of this year's Clinton Spring Fair.

Ontario Director Denise Stoddart says they're an International Barrel Racing Association with chapters in Italy, China and Australia, as well as several in Canada and the U.S. and they'll be in Clinton for the Spring Fair from May 31st to June 2nd.

Stoddart says they'll have competitors coming from all over Ontario and Quebec as well as the Northeastern United States and they'll have approximately two hundred horses competing in the three-day event that will include Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. “We have everybody from Pee Wees, which means they're accompanied by an adult, right up to our seniors which are fifty and older.”

Stoddart says this is their third year at the Reach Centre. Visitors are more than welcome.

More information about the National Barrel Horse Association can be found on their website.
