HuronSong Chorus Will Be Performing Two Concerts This Year To Raise Money For The Huron Women's Shelter

by Bob Montgomery

The Director of the HuronSong Chorus says they'll be performing in Seaforth and in Goderich.

Debra Bailey says the HuronSong Chorus is a community chorus of about 75 singers from all over the county from Grand Bend and Exeter to just a little north of Blyth. They started a little more than sixteen years ago, with about twelve singers and for a little over ten years now they have been doing concerts solely as a fundraiser for the Huron Women's Shelter and so far they've raised over $80,000 for the shelter.

Bailey says they put on two concerts every year. The first concert will be at 7:30 PM on Monday, December 16th at the Lakeshore United Church in Goderich and their guest that evening will be the Exeter Kids Choir. Two nights later, on December 18th, again at 7:30 PM, they'll be at Northside United Church in Seaforth and their guest singer there is 17-year-old Ava Dawe
