Five Hospitals In Huron County Are Receiving Almost Four Million Dollars From The Province

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson recently announced the province is investing a total of $3,822,936 into local hospitals in Huron County to deliver faster and more connected care.

“Increasing investments for our local hospitals in Huron County is important to ensure that proper supports, close to home, continue to be in place,” said Lisa Thompson.

Hospitals receiving funding are:

  • $1,175,500 – Alexandra Marine and General Hospital

  • $377,100 – South Huron Hospital

  • $624,300 – Wingham and District Hospital

  • $627,467 – Clinton Public Hospital (as part of the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance allotment)

  • $1,018,569 – Seaforth Community Hospital (as part of the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance allotment)

President & CEO of the Huron Health System, which includes both the South Huron Hospital in Exeter and Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich, Jimmy Trieu, says these vital resources will significantly enhance our ability to deliver top-notch patient care, ensuring that every individual receives the best possible treatment and support.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance President and CEO, which includes both the Clinton Public Hospital and Seaforth Community Hospital, Andrew Williams, says the increase in funding they received are key to maintaining a safe environment for their team and those they serve. “The ongoing leadership and support of MPP Thompson is greatly appreciated and is instrumental in ensuring our infrastructure needs are supported provincially.”
