United Way Perth-Huron and the Northern Huron Community Committee are proud to announce results from the Coldest Night of the Year event in Wingham.
“Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Coldest Night,” said Lisa Harper, United Way’s Community Development Manager for Northern Huron. “Thanks to walkers and donors from across northern Huron, we’ve raised $30,840 so far in support of the Northern Huron Connection Centre. We’re grateful for our community’s generosity.”
The top five fundraising teams were the Wingham Walkers, Madill Mustangs, Huron Bruce NDP, Lucknow Community Team and the Blyth Lions Club. Top five individual fundraisers were Gary and Maureen Lisle, Dionne Smith, Roger and Jeanette Sears Stryker, Emily Stutzman and Kathy Gibson. Donations will continue to be accepted at cnoy.org until March 31. For pictures and video, join the Wingham Coldest Night of the Year Facebook group.
