Central Huron Council Travels to Sarnia

by Bob Montgomery

Members of Central Huron Council travelled to Sarnia earlier this week.

Central Huron Mayor Jim Ginn explains they made the trip to Sarnia to look at the operation of a group in Sarnia that is considering leasing property on the former Bluewater Centre property on highway 21. Ginn says it's too early in the process to reveal the name or any details about the company involved but council wanted to have a first hand look at their operation. Ginn adds, whether it goes forward or not remains to be determined, but council wanted to have a look at the operation before they made a decision.

Mayor Ginn has also been named to the SWIFT board of directors. He explains the one year term for the previous county council representative on the board had expired. Ginn says the new term is a two-year term and he was appointed to fill that seat by Huron County council.
