Bruce County Bus Service Expanding Into Huron County

by Bob Montgomery

A bus service that has been operating from Bruce County and going to London is now looking at expanding service further into Huron County.

Debi Wilson is the liaison officer for Onex Bus (Ontario Express Bus) and they currently run from Port Elgin to London, with stops in Goderich and Clinton. Wilson says they're hoping to go further north, into Grey County, as well as further south into Huron County by adding flag stops in Vanastra, Hensall and Exeter as well flag stops in Lucan and Elginfield. Wilson explains a flag stop is where they would stop if a passenger was there but would continue past the stop if no one was there.

Wilson says they're currently just operating three days a week, on the weekends but they hope to expand to a daily service within the next month.

More information about the Onex service can be found at the website onexbus.com.
